Governor McAuliffe Announces Horse Board Appointments
Governor Terry McAuliffe recently announced several appointments to the
Virginia Horse Industry Board.
These include:

David Lands of Gloucester, president of the Virginia Paint Horse Club, has been re-appointed for a second term.

Nancy Paschall, executive director of Dreamcatchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center in Williamsburg, has also been re-appointed for a second term.

Nancy Troutman of Salem owns and operates Meadow Wood Farm and is a member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association of Virginia. One of the original organizers of the Roanoke Valley Horsemen’s Association and the Roanoke Valley Horse Show, she is new to the Horse Board and has been appointed for her first term.

Alison Umberger of Broad Run, a national director of the American Paint Horse Association and Board member of Bridle Paths Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, has also been appointed for her first term.
Completing two full terms, Beryl Herzog and Eleanor Jones have gone off the Board. At the most recent meeting, Board members thanked Mrs. Herzog and Mrs. Jones for their service to the VHIB and the Virginia horse industry.
